I’m a Cape Town–based filmmaker with a passion for writing and directing. My background spans across editing, shooting, and production support, giving me a well-rounded perspective on how stories come to life on screen.
My goal is to tell locally made stories from fresh perspectives—stories about the issues that affect South Africans, told in ways that engage and entertain. South Africa’s history and diversity offer endless depth, and I want to see that reflected more often on screen.
I feel a growing sense of optimism in both the country and its film industry. I want to contribute to that momentum—to tell stories that balance hope and realism. Stories that are entertaining without shying away from painful truths. Stories that balance humour with depth. Film has the power to open empathy and understanding, and that’s what drives me.

Over the past decade I’ve worked on a wide mix of projects — from short films, music videos, and travel films to corporate and branded video content. Many of my independent projects were created on tiny budgets with small crews (and sometimes just myself), which taught me how to be resourceful, adaptive, and deeply collaborative.
Alongside that, I’ve built professional experience in creative agencies, where I edited, directed, and produced a variety of online content.

Storytelling has been central to my life since my teens, and my long-term goal is to focus on writing and directing for film and television. At the same time, I enjoy contributing to other projects as an editor, camera operator, or production assistant. Whether leading or supporting, I approach every job with the same commitment: to tell stories that connect.
When I turned thirty, I discovered I have ADHD—a realisation that helped me understand myself better. I may get distracted at times, but when working on a bigger project and especially on set, I feel completely alive. The fast pace and creative energy of filmmaking bring out my best.
When I’m not behind the camera or in the edit suite, I’ve explored other creative outlets — from performing improv and theatre during my years in Vietnam to writing fiction and travel pieces. These experiences continue to shape how I work with actors and approach character-driven storytelling.
After a few years of working in video production in South Africa, I moved to Asia to experience a different culture and grow my skills - especially in cinematography and acting.  Though this decision paused my momentum back home, it gave me valuable perspective and a handful of independent projects that deepened my craft.
Now that I’m back in Cape Town, my drive to pursue filmmaking is stronger than ever. I’m open to collaborations in film, television, and video. Feel free to reach out through the contact page.
